With the delicate nature of what they transport through their halls, they needed to repair the concrete that had holes and cracks throughout. When minor repairs done by the internal team didn’t seem to be fixing the problem anymore, they called Industrial Applications.
With a slab that was 40-50 years old, when we started demo, we found a failing substrate down past the rebar matt. In preparation for laying our resinous floor coating, we had to remove 1-2” of thick top coat – using scrapers, scarifiers and jackhammers. We discovered a need to replace rebar and install wire matting mesh. Then we poured a 2” topping slab back on the floor, and applied Florock 4755 power trowel material to trowel in new ¼” 12,000 psi cap. We topcoated with a Florock ESD conductive coating based on the specific needs of the customer.
