Referred into James Corlew Chevrolet by a Chevrolet dealership in Nashville, the maintenance area at the dealership needed work. They had installed new lifts and there were holes in the floor where the anchors from the previous lifts had been. When they did an addition, the floors ended up at different heights causing a trip hazard and an inconvenience – so that needed to be repaired. On top of that, the owner really wanted a professional environment that was easy to clean and that the inevitable oil spill would not penetrate.
The Industrial Applications crew started by removing the worn out coatings currently on the floor and patching the anchor holes left by the old lifts that had been replaced. Other areas of the floor that needed patching or repair were taken care of as well. The crew also troweled in a ramp to adjust for the height difference in the floor where the building addition was added in the past. Following diamond grind preparation, we then primed with MPE epoxy and topcoated with Eco-HTS urethane. The coatings also had a non-slip texture to improve the safety for their employees.
