Overview
Boutique Hotel Restaurant Kitchen Floor needs Demo and Urethane Concrete Solution
When a boutique hotel’s second-floor restaurant discovered its kitchen floor was literally falling apart, putting every space below at risk, #TeamIA sprang into action.
🔍 The Surprise: During demolition we uncovered a failed underlayment and loose fiberglass mesh that had never been fully encapsulated. The substrate crumbled on contact, proof that every floor is a mystery until you open it up.
Extensive Demo, Waterproofing Membrane and Urethane Cement Seamless Coating Installed
🛠️ The Fix:
- Removed the coating system, debonded mesh, and rotted wood flooring.
- Installed an elastomeric-epoxy waterproofing membrane to protect everything underneath.
- Applied a seamless, slip-resistant urethane-cement system built to handle nonstop foot traffic, hot-oil spills, and daily high-pressure washdowns.
The Result is Durable, Hygienic, Easy to Clean
The result? A durable, hygienic, easy-to-clean kitchen floor that will perform for years—and keep the restaurant’s reputation (and the guestrooms below) safe and dry.
