#IndustrialApplicationsInc was called on to refurbish chemical containment pits at a large power plant. #TeamIA expertly removed existing coatings, prepped and installed Sherwin Williams Corobond 100 primer and two topcoats of Sherwin Williams DuraPlate 8200 in five exterior containment pits including spoon cove application in corners and around support bases using Sherwin Williams Steel Seam. Due to the subgrade nature of the containment pits, some pit floors were found to be damp. #TeamIA used Dur-a-Flex Polycrete SL cementitious urethane mortar as a base coat to allow installation to proceed despite floors being damp due to elevated water table level. The #SherwinWilliams materials used are specifically formulated for use over concrete surfaces in secondary containment environments.
